We currently look after hundreds of domains for our clients. Here is a selection of some of our latest websites.

A visitor should be able to get a good idea of what you have to offer within 10 seconds of first seeing your website and your contact details should be instantly available to them. All our client's websites achieve this.

Anya Cates

Anya Cates is an author based in Hertfordshire. She has a catalogue of short stories to her credit and has now had her first novel published. 'Daniel, asleep' explores why a woman would risk everything to protect a wanted criminal.

Her website is designed to grow with her success and includes details of her book, a selection of short stories in PDF format, news and a biography of Anya. We wish her the best of luck and, having read her book, we’re sure it will be a great hit. Move over Miss Rowling!

April Kelley

We had a very keen young man called Ben Woolner contact us after a job as a trainee web designer. We have a full staff but wanted to do a project with him. April Kelley is a talented young actress who wanted a website to help her finance her college tuition but had limited funds.

Ben designed and coded this website and April helped by providing ideas and graphics. We supervised the project and the result is a very eye catching website. It also has a content management system to enable April to edit her pages and keep her costs to a minimum.

Arrow Chimneys

Arrow Chimneys wanted a web presence to promote their services while helping to reduce their advertising budget in the current financial climate. At AFM we consider search engine optimisation right from the start of any new website. In the case of Arrow Chimneys we selected keywords which would give the highest return from Hertfordshire and its surrounding counties.

We're pleased to say that Arrow Chimneys are now booked up for several months in advance and a large part of that is as a result of the advertising from their new website.

Coates Primary School

Coates Primary School, Peterborough was a very rewarding project for us. The website has a content management system to enable school personnel to update some of the pages using a simple editing tool.

The school can now use the website to keep parents informed of events with the calendar and notices pages. The Pupil's zone page also enables them to scan and publish the pupil's work.

ERF Landscapes Ltd

ERF Landscapes Ltd are an expanding landscape and domestic garden design company based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. They commissioned a new website to help take their business to the next level.

We think this website design reflects the environmental aspect of their work and has been constructed to allow a content management system to be easily added when it is required.

Excell Fire Risk Services

There are a huge number of websites offering fire safety services in the UK. In order to maximise the search engine optimisation we analysed the terms used in local searches then incorporated them into the site pages to get the most efficient return for the client's investment.

Excell Fire Safety Services are based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. If you try searching for 'fire safety hitchin' or 'fire safety hertfordshire' you will find them on page one.

Future Muzik

Future Muzik are a dynamic and motivated company involved in accelerating the careers of new bands and musicians. They review their client's current positions and then advise and assist in ways which best target their resources.

The Future Muzik website contains information detailing their services but also incorporates a section designed to showcase their client's music. This section of the site is controlled from a custom built panel allowing them to upload and download music tracks, add client details and specify if the tracks should be available for download, streaming or both.

GA Caravan Services

GA Caravan Services offer servicing, repairs, parts and spares for all makes of caravan in Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. The website has a content management system for updating most of the pages and incorporates an online shop.

We optimised the GA website for caravan related searches with the result that they are on page one of Google for the search term 'caravan services'.

Hertfordshire Fire Brigade Union

Hertfordshire Fire Brigade Union needed their website to be very inexpensive and easy to maintain. The union relies on financial contributions from its members and the general public and so does not have the kind of budget enjoyed by their County Council employers.

We designed their website with this in mind choosing a simple design produced to enable us to make changes in the minimum amount of time. The site incorporates a content management system (CMS) providing the union members with full control of their own website content using an easy to use editing tool. We also incorporated a secure member's area accessed by password.

I&B Electrical

The previous website design for I&B Electrical was starting to look dated so we redisigned it. The new design is very eye catching and provides that all important professional first impression.

We re-organised the content into more manageable sections and optimised each one for search engines. This site is also ready for a content management system to be added should our client's request it.

Jean Hewitt Consulting

Jean Hewitt Consulting provides a range of services but their primary expertise is in the area of Disability Access Consulting. Due to this their website must comply with the highest level of accessibility as specified by the World Wide Web Consortium.

It is the responsibility of a website owner to ensure their site complies with the Disability Discrimination Act and NOT the website designer. We actually think that is wrong and all our sites comply with at least the standard level of accessibility.

Kingsley Associates

Kingsley Associates offer training and support for anyone wanting to start a new career as a Debt Advisor. With the debt situation in the UK spiralling this is a very rewarding area to become involved in.

The Kingsley Associates website has been designed with a large emphasis on targeted search engine optimisation and incorporates facilities to purchase their course online.

LMS Bearings

LMS Bearings supply bearings and motion components to clients worldwide. They have a specific selection of key search terms they wish the website to be found for. We carried out an analysis on the search terms to determine in what order to target them according to the number of times searched, the relevance and the amount of competition.

The only people who can guarantee a top rank on a search engine are the search engine themselves but we have had quite a bit of success already (try searching for 'ball bushings and shafts') and we are working on the others.

Times Past

The Times Past shop in Letchworth wanted the ability to sell their products online. They also wanted a website which would promote their shop and services to a wider customer base. They had a website which they had built themselves as part of a BT business package but while it was not bad in terms of design it had no online commerce component and had not been search engine optimised at all.

The new website is a great success and was listed on page one of Google.co.uk search results for 'continental pine furniture' within a few weeks of its launch.

The Hair Clinic

The Internet is more important than ever for promoting a company or organisation to its target audience.

When we were first asked by The Hair Clinic to redesign their website they told us that they expected it to generate approximately 10% of their business with the rest coming from more traditional forms of advertising.

At present the website generates over 90%. The Hair Clinic also uses Google Adwords to further promote their website due to the huge amount of competition in the business sector.

The Rose and Crown, Hemel Hempstead

The Rose and Crown in Hemel Hempstead wanted a website designed to promote the pub but also keep the running costs to a minimum. Their site is optimised for a selection of search terms designed to promote the family friendly pub and beer garden to local Hemel residents but also to promote the pub ghosts to supernatural enthusiasts.

The site includes a content management system for their food page and an events page with online ticket sales controlled completely by the pub land lady. It is our policy to only charge for the work we actually do so apart from hosting and the events module licence fee there are no other ongoing costs for any of our websites.

Voices of Spirit

The Voices of Spirit website includes quite a few pages with content management and an online shop. The shop allows Sarah Tyler-Walters, the website owner, to add unlimited products, include multiple pictures and even attach PDF documents. The shop comes with a full help file and free phone and email support.

There is a one off charge for adding it to a site then a further small annual licence fee.
